Netflix’s “Murder Mubarak” arrives with a premise ripe for intrigue and suspense but unfortunately falls flat, failing to capitalise on its potential. What could have been a gripping murder mystery turns into a predictable slog, marred by straightforward storytelling that allows the audience to pinpoint the murderer far too early in the narrative.

The film assembles a commendable cast, suggesting that stellar performances could be expected. However, the reality is a stark contrast. Despite the presence of notable talent, the performances are underwhelming, lacking the depth and complexity required to elevate the material. It’s disheartening to see good actors not being utilized to their full potential, leaving one to wonder about the direction and script they were given.

Furthermore, the editing does the film no favors.
