The Acolyte Review 2024 Tv Show Series Season Cast Crew Online

First episode – writing was pretty on the nose for the first episode, character explaining their history/motives to other characters who already know these things for the sake of the audience. The plot progresses without too much of this exposition to its credit, it’s just if there is dialogue it’s pretty mediocre. Fights are decent, graphics are good, set design is a little sterile (like all recent Disney projects – everything too perfect), costumes not bad. Sol’s actor seems grounded. First ep 4.5/10

Second episode – better by half! Decent pacing plot-wise, some twists and it’s interesting yet slightly predictable… Could go either way! Unrealistic exposition is turned down (mostly) Thus far it isn’t incredible, but is certainly better than first episode. Osha actress shows some heathy range & Sols actor still stands out solidly. Second ep 7/10.

I really bogged down in episode 3 here, started it twice and turned it off once; flashbacks aren’t really my thing, but… the episode finally picks up in the second half. Kid actor did pretty decent.

Skipping the review of the rest – I’ve moved my rating of the show from 3/10 up to 6/10, the story is finally moving, had some fun choreography you want in a Star Wars film, some of the motives are finally fleshed out. It’s not incredible television, but it at least is pretty well made, actors are mostly good, and they at have a fairly tight plot with only a few moments that seem out of character.

Generic semi spoilers below: Episode 5 was easily the best thus far, a few characters expire and the moment feels earned, with well met stakes. A few plot contrivances, but overall ep 5 was yummy. V.
