Lodge 49 Review 2018 Tv Show Series Season Cast Crew Online
Creators: Jim Gavin
Stars: Wyatt Russell, Brent Jennings, Sonya Cassidy
Review: Lodge 49 is full of nice, pleasant people. That goes for the TV series and the social club from which it takes its name, a relaxed hang-out for working-class schlubs in Long Beach, California, part of the Order of the Lynx, a fraternal organization along the lines of the Elks or the Knights of Columbus. With its low stakes, friendly characters and sunny beachfront vibe, Lodge 49 is a refreshing antidote to the heavy, serious dramas populating cable channels and streaming services.
But it’s also thoroughly dull. Over the course of its first six episodes, the series hints vaguely at some supernatural (or at least mystical) conspiracy without ever delivering on it, even as the characters discover some genuinely confounding secrets about the history of the Lynx.
Lodge 49 is set on the sunny beaches of Long Beach, California. There lives Dudley, an amateur and low prestige surfer who many call loser. Dudley’s life changes radically when his father dies and the way he has to face his death is to take refuge in a brotherhood in the area to try to make sense of his life and cope with the absence of his father. Try to see life from another angle to discover the positive side and always live looking for the good things.
The AMC series was created by Jim Gavin, with Peter Ocko as ‘showrunner’ and Paul Giamatti as executive producer with Dan Carey.
