Kevin Can F**k Himself Review 2021 Tv Show Series Season Cast Crew Online
Creator: Valerie Armstrong
Stars: Annie Murphy, Raymond Lee, Eric Petersen
A deeper exploration of the stereotypical good natured and easy-going sitcom housewife. In sitcom lore, yes she is put upon, but she happily accepts it. No matter her husband’s antics in the end she’s always loving and forgiving. The perfect wife. Not this time….
This shows premise is so intelligent and unlike anything that I can remember seeing on TV. Allison is tired. Her existence is dull and she’s become painfully complacent in life and marriage. She’s visibly unhappy and is nearing her breaking point thanks to a selfish, neglectful, immature man-child of a husband. He never grows. He’s exactly the same as he was in high school only older, which makes him even more pathetic.
The series is shot like two different television shows: in one half of the same scene its bright, clean, and roomy like the set of a comedy (laugh track included). In the next instance and from Allison’s perspective, it’s grimy, dark, and small. Real life. A stark difference!
In Kevin’s world all is perfect and his whims are always catered to! In Allison’s world she’s ignored, mistreated and woefully under appreciated. Hence the difference in atmosphere.
I’m only on episode 2 but the show is supposed to explore Allison’s journey as she figures out who she really is and what she wants out of life. She will finally make Allison a priority! Can’t wait.
