After Ever Happy 2022 Movie Review

At his mother Trish (Louise Lombard)’s wedding to Mike (Emmanuel Todorov), her son Hardin Scott (Hero Fiennes Tiffin) is confronted with the fact that Christian Vance (Stephen Moyer), publisher and family friend, who lives with his secretary and Tessa’s girlfriend Kimberly (Arielle Kebbel) is engaged to his father. Outraged, he again accepts the temptation to quell his frustration with drugs.

After Tessa Young (Josephine Langford) has to endure a personal shock, their relationship is once again in a critical state. Hardin begins to realize that he keeps dragging Tessa into his problems, and she doesn’t know if she can save him without losing herself. So Tessa decides that both of them will distance themselves from each other for the time being, so that everyone can find themselves.

She follows her fellow student Landon (Chance Perdomo) to New York, where she hopes to start a new life. But then a new argument between her and Hardin threatens to flare up: she discovers the manuscript for a book that he calls “After” and in which he deals with his experiences in the changeable relationship with Tessa. She doesn’t want complete strangers to read about her life, but a bidding war for his book has long since broken out…
