Burden of Truth Review 2018 Tv Show Series Season Cast Crew Online
Creators: Brad Simpson
Stars: Peter Mooney, Kristin Kreuk, Star Slade
Review: Tired of generic theme American shows. BofT gives Canadian actors/actresses a chance to show their talents. The CBC 2018 Olympics doesn’t help the BofT viewership, will we tune back or lose interest ???
My predictions for the future plot : Joanna’s mother is part Native. David Hadley is partly responsible for the toxic drums’ burial in the soccer field as he was consulting Henry at the Steel Mill. David had to leave Millwood because he commiitted Joanna’s mother to the psych ward and because he fathered Joanna’s half sister from an affair. Joanna will stay in Millwood to fight for Native rights and hook up with Billy to start an associated law firm.
I don’t watch a lot of television, but I was hooked on this show from the beginning. First of all it is Canadian, and it deals with many issues that face us all on a day to day basis. The central theme of our environment being poisoned is very important. Every day some new toxin enters our water supply. Our governments seem powerless to deal with these issues, although they are starting. The series has aspects that appeal to both young people and the older generation. The Millwood teens look forward to university careers in the big city, but tragedy intervenes. They each deal with their issues differently. Being a small town, we see all sorts of social interactions and problems brought out into the light of day. I thought the acting was really sincere and the writing excellent. The final episode is very cathartic, Joanna’s dad is a type of lawyer that gives the profession a bad name, and that’s putting it mildly.
All the victims are young high school girls with great hair, and the “twitching” allows them to toss it around in a most fetching manner. The brave young female attorney returning to her roots to fight big business blah blah blah, also has great hair.
That’s about it, and it gets old about episode four. The acting is horrible, the story glacial and completely ridiculous. If anything like this really happened, the press would descend on this town like a storm. There would be federals all over the place, commissions, investigations. But why I am wasting your time explaining why it’s so stupid? Ten minutes of this drek will convince you of that, great hair aside.
